Day & Night

Updated: Sep 24, 2020

In this video you will find an excellent explanation of two individuals who, at first, found that they had nothing in common. As they got to know each other they noticed similarities and instances where they wanted to switch perspectives. (Please note that there are two potentially inappropriate scenes where Night is flirting with a girl in her bikini).

As a follow up to the film, we work on a friendship venn diagram. During this activity children are able to think about their individual differences and how they may also be similar to other classmates. As a group, we discuss how we are each unique and have different opinions on many things, but how we can still be friends with someone else.

Goal: to get the students to understand and appreciate other classmates different opinions. To show them that in order to be friends with someone else we do not have to have everything in common with them. To look at different perspectives.

Follow up: To work on activities that highlight our differences.
